The world is watching our heroes. Every day, we witness the doctors, nurses, healthcare workers and volunteers who step up to take care of the sickest, regardless of personal risk. They worry about their patients, not themselves. We admire them as we cling to our families and isolate in safety. Yet they put themselves out there continuously hoping to rescue those attacked by the world’s silent predator.

WILL THERE EVER BE A WAY TO SAY “THANK YOU”?

Knowing nurses who are in the trenches, and speaking with them, made me feel as though I should and could do something to show them that we are GRATEFUL, similar to restaurants who are providing food for them, hotels that are providing shelter, businesses who can create PPE, or citizens that applaud them as they exit their hospital at shift change.

As the founder and former CEO of ENK International, I have access to fashion. Why not provide nurses who have temporary residences in NYC hotels with gift bags of clean, fresh, comfortable clothing and/or footwear that they can get into after a gut-wrenching day in the hospital? Let them leave their hospital shoes in the hall, pull on a pair of fresh clean socks, a new pair of sweatpants, a comfy T-shirt, and so on...

Proudly, I stand with Fashion and the brands who are willing to help our heroes by donating product so that our nurses can feel just a little more human at night. And I’m so grateful to my former ENK International associates who have donated time, skill and effort when asked.

FROM FASHION WITH LOVE is a not-for-profit effort. We have provided 3,071 Gift Bags to the nurses currently residing in NYC. On May 29th, we launch FROM FASHION WITH LOVE/LA at the SOFITEL in Los Angeles. We will continue to think about our nurses, and Fashion will take care of them – sending LOVE, APPRECIATION & GRATITUDE.
